Narrative:

Contacted phl approach on 127.35. While south of phl over delaware bay, requested flight following to cxy. I was given a squawk code and informed 'radar contact.' I then monitored ATC en route and heard no further communication to my call sign. (Did hear other communication.) as I approached the mdt TRSA, I called phl approach, again on same frequency. I called 3 times requesting handoff to mdt approach and finally to cancel flight following. I received no reply, had cxy in sight, so I contacted cxy tower while outside class D airspace. By this time, I had started a descent and lost communication on 127.35. The tower informed me phl had been trying to contact me. I never left 127.35 unmonitored, never changed my squawk and never heard from phl approach on 127.35.
