Narrative:
On IFR flight plan to sac went missed approach. Sac departure gave us a vector of 140 degrees from sac VOR at 2500 ft MSL while awaiting clearance to return IFR to ccr. Vector given us was a direct collision course with an antenna array located approximately 5-10 mi southeast of sac VOR. It was barely VFR conditions. We spotted the antennas approximately 1 mi out and changed course to avoid collision. Had it been actual IMC, the vectors ATC had given us could have taken us into direct contact with the antennas. Controller was apparently in training as his supervisor would get on the radio and correct any radio traffic mistakes made. Controller also vectored one other plane 140 degrees at 2000 ft MSL. Very dangerous vector in actual IMC! Have since refused radar vectors southeast of sac VOR, stating 'unable to comply due to obstruction.' controllers seem unaware of the antenna obstruction. On sectional, antennas are indicated to be 2000 ft AGL.

Title: BE36. AFTER MAKING A MISSED APCH AT SAC, THE CTLR ASSIGNED THE ACFT A HDG WHICH AIMED ACFT DIRECTLY TOWARDS A TV TWR FARM.
Narrative: ON IFR FLT PLAN TO SAC WENT MISSED APCH. SAC DEP GAVE US A VECTOR OF 140 DEGS FROM SAC VOR AT 2500 FT MSL WHILE AWAITING CLRNC TO RETURN IFR TO CCR. VECTOR GIVEN US WAS A DIRECT COLLISION COURSE WITH AN ANTENNA ARRAY LOCATED APPROX 5-10 MI SE OF SAC VOR. IT WAS BARELY VFR CONDITIONS. WE SPOTTED THE ANTENNAS APPROX 1 MI OUT AND CHANGED COURSE TO AVOID COLLISION. HAD IT BEEN ACTUAL IMC, THE VECTORS ATC HAD GIVEN US COULD HAVE TAKEN US INTO DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE ANTENNAS. CTLR WAS APPARENTLY IN TRAINING AS HIS SUPVR WOULD GET ON THE RADIO AND CORRECT ANY RADIO TFC MISTAKES MADE. CTLR ALSO VECTORED ONE OTHER PLANE 140 DEGS AT 2000 FT MSL. VERY DANGEROUS VECTOR IN ACTUAL IMC! HAVE SINCE REFUSED RADAR VECTORS SE OF SAC VOR, STATING 'UNABLE TO COMPLY DUE TO OBSTRUCTION.' CTLRS SEEM UNAWARE OF THE ANTENNA OBSTRUCTION. ON SECTIONAL, ANTENNAS ARE INDICATED TO BE 2000 FT AGL.
