Narrative:
After landing in cvg on runway 18R anticipated a different taxi route. When I didn't get that route we told tower where we were parking, he quickly gave taxi instructions which I misunderstood. Then I missed the turn at taxiway D. Tower saw my mistake immediately and told me to stop and switch to ground. Moments later ground revised taxi clearance. There was no perceived conflict and we never encroached any runway.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG IN CVG ON RWY 18R ANTICIPATED A DIFFERENT TAXI RTE. WHEN I DIDN'T GET THAT RTE WE TOLD TWR WHERE WE WERE PARKING, HE QUICKLY GAVE TAXI INSTRUCTIONS WHICH I MISUNDERSTOOD. THEN I MISSED THE TURN AT TXWY D. TWR SAW MY MISTAKE IMMEDIATELY AND TOLD ME TO STOP AND SWITCH TO GND. MOMENTS LATER GND REVISED TAXI CLRNC. THERE WAS NO PERCEIVED CONFLICT AND WE NEVER ENCROACHED ANY RWY.
