Narrative:
Normal taxi, normal runup. Training flight to perfect soft field takeoff. Prior to flight, discussed using more right rudder to correct for tendency to drift left on takeoff. Starting takeoff run, had full power and on the centerline, as we left the ground, aircraft yawed right into a crab. I rolled left to correct to centerline. Aircraft at critically slow airspeed and hard to control rolling left and right. Right landing gear collapsed at some point. Left wing hit the runway hard (loud bang). About this time cfii took controls with me. We pulled power and drifted to the right onto the grass. No injuries. I feel if the cfii had acted promptly I wouldn't be filing this report at all. The FAA is suggesting a check ride for me and a violation. I don't feel that's necessary.

Title: PVT PLT PRACTICING SOFT FIELD TKOFS WITH INSTRUCTOR, LOST CTL OF THE ACFT DURING TKOF ROLL AND MADE AN ABORT AFTER BECOMING AIRBORNE AT TOO LOW AN AIRSPD. THE ACFT CAREENED OFF THE SIDE OF THE RWY COLLAPSING THE R LNDG GEAR AND STRIKING THE L WING ON THE RWY IN THE PROCESS.
Narrative: NORMAL TAXI, NORMAL RUNUP. TRAINING FLT TO PERFECT SOFT FIELD TKOF. PRIOR TO FLT, DISCUSSED USING MORE R RUDDER TO CORRECT FOR TENDENCY TO DRIFT L ON TKOF. STARTING TKOF RUN, HAD FULL PWR AND ON THE CTRLINE, AS WE LEFT THE GND, ACFT YAWED R INTO A CRAB. I ROLLED L TO CORRECT TO CTRLINE. ACFT AT CRITICALLY SLOW AIRSPD AND HARD TO CTL ROLLING L AND R. R LNDG GEAR COLLAPSED AT SOME POINT. L WING HIT THE RWY HARD (LOUD BANG). ABOUT THIS TIME CFII TOOK CTLS WITH ME. WE PULLED PWR AND DRIFTED TO THE R ONTO THE GRASS. NO INJURIES. I FEEL IF THE CFII HAD ACTED PROMPTLY I WOULDN'T BE FILING THIS RPT AT ALL. THE FAA IS SUGGESTING A CHK RIDE FOR ME AND A VIOLATION. I DON'T FEEL THAT'S NECESSARY.
