Narrative:

While working on a PIREP involving an autothrottle discrepancy, troubleshooting showed no faults in the autothrottle system and a system test was normal. Because no maintenance was performed on the autothrottle system and system integrity was not disturbed, I believed the aircraft lower minimum performance was not affected. After receiving a notice of violation from the FAA, a further review of air carrier general procedures manual and lower minimum performance material has convinced me that I was in violation.
