Narrative:

Air carrier dtw station received 16 inches snow on jan/xa/99. Airport runways were open and operation was normal. Air carrier terminal still snowed in, all gates occupied with air carrier aircraft yet to be deiced. As a dispatcher, I diverted 2 aircraft to other airports because my destination airport (dtw) was not a safe operation. Air carrier management is putting my license and their passenger at risk by trying to operate to a destination airport such as dtw on jan/xb/99.
