While climbing through FL200 (to FL220) ZTL cleared us back down to FL200. There was a moment of confusion as to what our original clearance altitude was. There was no conflict with any traffic in the area.

Title: FLC OF CL65 ERRONEOUSLY CLBED ABOVE DISPUTED ALT NEAR SPA.
Narrative: WHILE CLBING THROUGH FL200 (TO FL220) ZTL CLRED US BACK DOWN TO FL200. THERE WAS A MOMENT OF CONFUSION AS TO WHAT OUR ORIGINAL CLRNC ALT WAS. THERE WAS NO CONFLICT WITH ANY TFC IN THE AREA.
