Narrative:
Flight left dca to dfw. Clearance J6 bwg, arg, fsm, byp, dfw. (Usual route J6 lit.) habit took us J6 from bwg to lit. When we realized that we didn't turn to arg from bwg, we notified ATC and requested J6 lit as our normal route. ATC never notified us of any problems and approved J6 to lit. No events or problems, just a wrong turn, then ATC notification. Flight normal other than this one turn.
