Narrative:
New captain, first overnight trip. Wanted to get required autoland landing on VFR landing at dfw. Last leg of 2 day. Autoland went well. As we cleared runway, tower started ground instruction as captain started to comment on aircraft performance during autoland. I heard 'taxi taxiway er xxxxx hold short of runway 17C monitor tower 126.55' after holding short at taxiway er, 126.55 tower asked if we were the aircraft at taxiway er. I noticed the B757 behind us turned at taxiway P and then held short at taxiway B. No event. Cleared to taxi across runway 17C north on parallel taxiway to taxiway a and then cross at taxiway a, ground 121.8. I had read back 'taxiway er, hold short runway 17C 126.55.' I may have missed the turn on taxiway P and hold at taxiway B or an instruction but was not corrected by east tower if I did. No conflicts. Also we may have done it as instructed just unsure.
