Narrative:

On a flight to teb behind a strong storm it was very bumpy (updrafts and downdrafts as well). Aircraft on autoplt. Autoplt disengaged as a result of turbulence and aircraft lost 300 ft before I caught it and recovered. High workload situation due to numerous ATC delays and rertes probably contributed to the occurrence (no conflict). I wish I caught it earlier. ATC reminded about altimeter setting.

Title: A C550 ENCOUNTERED TURB WHILE AT CRUISE ALT NEAR FJC VOR ON FLT TO TEB. THE TURB WAS SUCH THAT IT DISENGAGED THE AUTOPLT AND CAUSED THE ACFT TO DEVIATE 300 FT FROM ASSIGNED ALT BEFORE FLC MANUALLY RECOVERED TO THEIR ASSIGNED ALT.
