Narrative:
On descent, cleared to 9000 ft to cross 10 DME west of broadway VOR. Actually crossed at 9600 ft. Contributing factors include a 100 KT tailwind and some initial confusion between the crew as to whether the clearance was to 10000 ft or 9000 ft. Supplemental information from acn 245950: first officer leg. Advised to cross 10 mi west of broadway at 9000 ft. First officer started descent out of FL220 late and did not calculate 100 KT tailwind.
