Narrative:
I heard yelling in the back of the aircraft between 2 men at row xx. The men were yelling obscenities at one another. One passenger was taunting the other by calling names and telling him to 'come on and hit me.' I told them to situation down and be quiet. It is a federal offense to fight on the aircraft. They told me they could do whatever they wanted and that I could not make them situation down and be quiet. They then began to yell again. I said again to please be quiet and situation down. I moved between the men in hopes to diffuse the situation. When one raised a fist to punch the other, I began to be shoved, so I ran to the interphone to call the captain. The phone was right by my seat and when they heard me talking to the captain, they still continued to yell. When one yelled go @#$% your mother. The other flight attendant managed to separate them. I found out from witnesses on board that the fight was over one putting his feet on the other person's coat. One slapped the feet off the coat and the one who got his feet slapped began spitting on the passenger. The captain notified auths and both men were escorted off the airplane. No arrests were made. However, in this situation I believe we should have landed in the nearest city, notified the auths there, and then proceed to ord. Those 2 men were not inconvenienced at all. They both got away with fighting on the airplane and I almost got hit as the result of trying to separate them in order to keep the cabin safe. Disturbances such as this should not be allowed to occur on aircraft. It was like a bar room brawl and I know both men were not served alcohol. Neither appeared intoxicated. These 2 men did, however, violate safety by not complying with my instructions.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT REGARDING 2 PAX WHO WERE FIGHTING ABOARD THE S80 ACFT AT CRUISE. THE FLT ATTENDANT WAS IN THE MIDDLE TRYING TO SEPARATE THEM AND GET THEM TO SIT DOWN. THEY IGNORED THE REQUEST. FOUL LANGUAGE WAS USED. THEY WERE ESCORTED OFF THE ACFT BUT NOT ARRESTED.
Narrative: I HEARD YELLING IN THE BACK OF THE ACFT BTWN 2 MEN AT ROW XX. THE MEN WERE YELLING OBSCENITIES AT ONE ANOTHER. ONE PAX WAS TAUNTING THE OTHER BY CALLING NAMES AND TELLING HIM TO 'COME ON AND HIT ME.' I TOLD THEM TO SIT DOWN AND BE QUIET. IT IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE TO FIGHT ON THE ACFT. THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD DO WHATEVER THEY WANTED AND THAT I COULD NOT MAKE THEM SIT DOWN AND BE QUIET. THEY THEN BEGAN TO YELL AGAIN. I SAID AGAIN TO PLEASE BE QUIET AND SIT DOWN. I MOVED BTWN THE MEN IN HOPES TO DIFFUSE THE SIT. WHEN ONE RAISED A FIST TO PUNCH THE OTHER, I BEGAN TO BE SHOVED, SO I RAN TO THE INTERPHONE TO CALL THE CAPT. THE PHONE WAS RIGHT BY MY SEAT AND WHEN THEY HEARD ME TALKING TO THE CAPT, THEY STILL CONTINUED TO YELL. WHEN ONE YELLED GO @#$% YOUR MOTHER. THE OTHER FLT ATTENDANT MANAGED TO SEPARATE THEM. I FOUND OUT FROM WITNESSES ON BOARD THAT THE FIGHT WAS OVER ONE PUTTING HIS FEET ON THE OTHER PERSON'S COAT. ONE SLAPPED THE FEET OFF THE COAT AND THE ONE WHO GOT HIS FEET SLAPPED BEGAN SPITTING ON THE PAX. THE CAPT NOTIFIED AUTHS AND BOTH MEN WERE ESCORTED OFF THE AIRPLANE. NO ARRESTS WERE MADE. HOWEVER, IN THIS SIT I BELIEVE WE SHOULD HAVE LANDED IN THE NEAREST CITY, NOTIFIED THE AUTHS THERE, AND THEN PROCEED TO ORD. THOSE 2 MEN WERE NOT INCONVENIENCED AT ALL. THEY BOTH GOT AWAY WITH FIGHTING ON THE AIRPLANE AND I ALMOST GOT HIT AS THE RESULT OF TRYING TO SEPARATE THEM IN ORDER TO KEEP THE CABIN SAFE. DISTURBANCES SUCH AS THIS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OCCUR ON ACFT. IT WAS LIKE A BAR ROOM BRAWL AND I KNOW BOTH MEN WERE NOT SERVED ALCOHOL. NEITHER APPEARED INTOXICATED. THESE 2 MEN DID, HOWEVER, VIOLATE SAFETY BY NOT COMPLYING WITH MY INSTRUCTIONS.
