Narrative:
On departure from bos, lost communication with ATC due to stuck microphone on frequency. Reestablished communications with ATC with intermittent success. Discovered it was our #2 radio and jackbox inoperative, with other associated problems. One of our objectives during this abnormal situation was to isolate the problem, establish reliable communication and receive further clearance with ATC. We accomplished this with a clearance to grb and a climb to FL350. Passing through FL180, altimeters were not set to 29.92 from 30.71 bos field, because of attention being focused on our efforts to maintain continuous communication with ATC, which was also integral to analyzing the problem. At times so was communicating with ATC. Once leveled at FL350, ATC stated that he showed us at FL343. I responded that we were climbing to FL350. No other traffic was in the area. Analyzed the problem per the above initial assessment. Proceeded to msp without further problems. In the future after an abnormal situation I will double-check that the normal checklists were also completed.

Title: DC10 FLC WHILE DEALING WITH COM DIFFICULTIES HAS ALTDEV RESULTING FROM NOT RESETTING ALTIMETER CLBING THROUGH FL180 WHILE DEPARTING BOS.
Narrative: ON DEP FROM BOS, LOST COM WITH ATC DUE TO STUCK MIKE ON FREQ. REESTABLISHED COMS WITH ATC WITH INTERMITTENT SUCCESS. DISCOVERED IT WAS OUR #2 RADIO AND JACKBOX INOP, WITH OTHER ASSOCIATED PROBS. ONE OF OUR OBJECTIVES DURING THIS ABNORMAL SIT WAS TO ISOLATE THE PROB, ESTABLISH RELIABLE COM AND RECEIVE FURTHER CLRNC WITH ATC. WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WITH A CLRNC TO GRB AND A CLB TO FL350. PASSING THROUGH FL180, ALTIMETERS WERE NOT SET TO 29.92 FROM 30.71 BOS FIELD, BECAUSE OF ATTN BEING FOCUSED ON OUR EFFORTS TO MAINTAIN CONTINUOUS COM WITH ATC, WHICH WAS ALSO INTEGRAL TO ANALYZING THE PROB. AT TIMES SO WAS COMMUNICATING WITH ATC. ONCE LEVELED AT FL350, ATC STATED THAT HE SHOWED US AT FL343. I RESPONDED THAT WE WERE CLBING TO FL350. NO OTHER TFC WAS IN THE AREA. ANALYZED THE PROB PER THE ABOVE INITIAL ASSESSMENT. PROCEEDED TO MSP WITHOUT FURTHER PROBS. IN THE FUTURE AFTER AN ABNORMAL SIT I WILL DOUBLE-CHK THAT THE NORMAL CHKLISTS WERE ALSO COMPLETED.
