Narrative:
Returned to lax following decision by flight deck crew because of problem with right main landing gear. No problems with landing. Normal approach and touchdown. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that the problem was with the gear doors. The gear actually retracted, but the doors would not close. Repairs could not be made promptly so another aircraft was located and the flight was able to continue. Supplemental information from acn 428856: my concern with the situation is that the exact problem occurred 1 week prior and the plane apparently did not fly in between. Was the problem fixed before we took our flight?
