Narrative:
After departing from bdr we leveled off at 3000 ft. There were numerous aircraft in the area. ATC brought our attention to 1 O'clock position traffic after vectoring us from 110 degrees to 140 degrees. As I was performing the checklists and doing radio work as well as scanning for traffic, I noticed that we passed close by under the piper super-cub. TCASII indicated 300 ft. To prevent reoccurrence, I will delay the after takeoff checklist and maintain a more vigilant traffic search.
