Narrative:
Received altimeter setting from ZNY, rogered back 30.08. Actual altimeter setting 30.48. At leveloffs on robbinsville approach (SID) to ewr we were approximately 400 ft high until intercept. GS for runway 4R ILS. Did not discover altimeter error until radar altimeter activated at 2500 ft AGL.
