Narrative:
First officer, PF, passing pdz VOR misset course indicator to 227 degrees -- should have been 277 degrees. Within 2-3 mi, approach gave us a vector to correct routing.

Title: FO OF A DC9 FAILED TO FOLLOW STAR ROUTING DUE TO SETTING THE WRONG OUTBOUND RADIAL IN THE VOR COURSE SELECTOR. APCH CTLR NOTICED THE ERROR AND VECTORED THE FLC BACK TO THE PUBLISHED RTE.
