Narrative:
Problem arose while being vectored for ILS pqi final approach. I was turned onto localizer too close to lose altitude for FAF. Had a tailwind, but surface winds for runway 1 was 180 degrees at 7 KTS. Flew approach too high on GS. In trying to catch GS, too rapid a descent rate resulted in too high airspeed and significant ground speed. I did not use flaps due to icing conditions. Arrived at decision ht above GS path and plane was fast and ground speed high. Landed too far down runway with ground speed fast. Runway had been closed due to snow removal equipment. I had given notice and removal equipment was off. Unable to stop plane before going off end of runway. The landing had been preceded by a flight in freezing rain that had resulted in significant ice buildup on both plane and propeller. No injury or structural damage resulted.

Narrative: PROB AROSE WHILE BEING VECTORED FOR ILS PQI FINAL APCH. I WAS TURNED ONTO LOC TOO CLOSE TO LOSE ALT FOR FAF. HAD A TAILWIND, BUT SURFACE WINDS FOR RWY 1 WAS 180 DEGS AT 7 KTS. FLEW APCH TOO HIGH ON GS. IN TRYING TO CATCH GS, TOO RAPID A DSCNT RATE RESULTED IN TOO HIGH AIRSPD AND SIGNIFICANT GND SPD. I DID NOT USE FLAPS DUE TO ICING CONDITIONS. ARRIVED AT DECISION HT ABOVE GS PATH AND PLANE WAS FAST AND GND SPD HIGH. LANDED TOO FAR DOWN RWY WITH GND SPD FAST. RWY HAD BEEN CLOSED DUE TO SNOW REMOVAL EQUIP. I HAD GIVEN NOTICE AND REMOVAL EQUIP WAS OFF. UNABLE TO STOP PLANE BEFORE GOING OFF END OF RWY. THE LNDG HAD BEEN PRECEDED BY A FLT IN FREEZING RAIN THAT HAD RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT ICE BUILDUP ON BOTH PLANE AND PROP. NO INJURY OR STRUCTURAL DAMAGE RESULTED.
