Narrative:
Location: 10 mi northeast aus, tx. Shortly after takeoff, a strong odor of electrical/rubber source noted in cockpit. Shortly thereafter, flight attendants chimed with a report of a similar strong smell throughout aircraft, but strongest near aft lavatory. Emergency was declared. Landed without incident. Nature noted in company procedures. Flight attendants immediately chimed reporting with no problems.

Narrative: LOCATION: 10 MI NE AUS, TX. SHORTLY AFTER TKOF, A STRONG ODOR OF ELECTRICAL/RUBBER SOURCE NOTED IN COCKPIT. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, FLT ATTENDANTS CHIMED WITH A RPT OF A SIMILAR STRONG SMELL THROUGHOUT ACFT, BUT STRONGEST NEAR AFT LAVATORY. EMER WAS DECLARED. LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
