Narrative:
I was burned with hot coffee on cheek, neck, and chest. The top 'burst' off coffee pot. This type coffee pot should be removed from airplanes. Tops often do not fit properly. When we started using this type of coffee pot several yrs ago, we were advised by company that they were 'temporary.' callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that the burns were second degree with no blistering and healed within about 3 weeks. She did continue working the trip and the return trip. She did not take any time off from work. She spoke to her supervisor and made a report to the company stressing that these coffee pots were supposed to be temporary. She does not believe the company has done anything about the pots, however. Analyst recommended hotline.
