Narrative:
Approach control cleared us (aircraft X) for a visual approach to runway 24. As he gave us the approach clearance, he told us to contact tower. When we turned to a base leg, the PNF contacted the tower and we believe the tower said, 'wind 17 degrees at 4 KTS, cleared to land runway 24.' we landed on runway 24 and upon rollout, the localizer comparator warning light illuminated, so the PNF reached down and turned the dial on the #1 navigation receiver to eliminate the comparator light. We turned off runway 24 and got no further direction from tower as to whether to taxi to the gate, or contact ground control. We discovered that when the PNF changed the localizer frequency on rollout, he must have changed the communication channel instead. We switched back to the tower frequency and were instructed to taxi to the gate. Tower did not question us about the flight.

Title: DC9 FLC RECEIVES BDL VISUAL APCH AND LNDG CLRNC FROM TWR. ON ROLLOUT, FO INHIBITS A WARNING LIGHT AND INADVERTENTLY TURNS OFF TWR FREQ. FLC IDENTS PROB, RETURNS TO TWR FREQ AND RECEIVES TAXI CLRNC TO RAMP.
Narrative: APCH CTL CLRED US (ACFT X) FOR A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 24. AS HE GAVE US THE APCH CLRNC, HE TOLD US TO CONTACT TWR. WHEN WE TURNED TO A BASE LEG, THE PNF CONTACTED THE TWR AND WE BELIEVE THE TWR SAID, 'WIND 17 DEGS AT 4 KTS, CLRED TO LAND RWY 24.' WE LANDED ON RWY 24 AND UPON ROLLOUT, THE LOC COMPARATOR WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED, SO THE PNF REACHED DOWN AND TURNED THE DIAL ON THE #1 NAV RECEIVER TO ELIMINATE THE COMPARATOR LIGHT. WE TURNED OFF RWY 24 AND GOT NO FURTHER DIRECTION FROM TWR AS TO WHETHER TO TAXI TO THE GATE, OR CONTACT GND CTL. WE DISCOVERED THAT WHEN THE PNF CHANGED THE LOC FREQ ON ROLLOUT, HE MUST HAVE CHANGED THE COM CHANNEL INSTEAD. WE SWITCHED BACK TO THE TWR FREQ AND WERE INSTRUCTED TO TAXI TO THE GATE. TWR DID NOT QUESTION US ABOUT THE FLT.
