Narrative:
On final approach to runway 14 at zrh when flaps 5 were selected, the flaps remained at 1 and the trailing edge flap disagree light illuminated, along with an EICAS message trailing edge flap disagree. We executed the published missed approach. Entered the ma holding pattern at saffra, accomplished the abnormal procedures, requested runway 16 for landing. Accomplished the t-e-south-T procedure with the flight attendants and notified operations of our flap problem. We extended the flaps to 20 degrees using the alternate system. Were vectored to the final approach for runway 16 and landed without incident.
