Narrative:

Flight from mad-mia jan/xa/99. We had 2 aborted takeoffs. After second abort, there was a loud pop as we taxied back towards terminal. 3 of the tires had blown and the wheel well was smoldering. Passenger informed us of smoke. The fire department was there and put out/sprayed down wheels. Flight was canceled. Flight from mad-mia jan/xb/99. Boarded and took off on same aircraft. Shortly after takeoff, passenger began informing us that there was liquid leaking from the wings. The third pilot came out of cockpit to examine. Captain decided to turn around and land in madrid. He informed us that we would be met by emergency crews but did not have us prepare for 'planned emergency.' we landed without problems. Flight canceled. Flight mad-mia. The crew ferried the plane back to miami. The pilots did have problems during takeoff with tailskid but fixed problem and we continued on.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT REGARDING A B767-300 WHICH WAS FERRIED FROM MADRID TO MIAMI AFTER 2 ABORTED TKOFS. FLT ATTENDANTS WERE ABOARD DURING THE FERRY FLT.

Narrative: FLT FROM MAD-MIA JAN/XA/99. WE HAD 2 ABORTED TKOFS. AFTER SECOND ABORT, THERE WAS A LOUD POP AS WE TAXIED BACK TOWARDS TERMINAL. 3 OF THE TIRES HAD BLOWN AND THE WHEEL WELL WAS SMOLDERING. PAX INFORMED US OF SMOKE. THE FIRE DEPT WAS THERE AND PUT OUT/SPRAYED DOWN WHEELS. FLT WAS CANCELED. FLT FROM MAD-MIA JAN/XB/99. BOARDED AND TOOK OFF ON SAME ACFT. SHORTLY AFTER TKOF, PAX BEGAN INFORMING US THAT THERE WAS LIQUID LEAKING FROM THE WINGS. THE THIRD PLT CAME OUT OF COCKPIT TO EXAMINE. CAPT DECIDED TO TURN AROUND AND LAND IN MADRID.
