Narrative:

When handed off to second atl approach controller, he stated to an aircraft in front of our aircraft winds of 360 degrees at 26 KTS gusting to 33 KTS. Aircraft limitation is 90 degrees crosswind limit of 30 KTS. Chose a suitable alternate, but wanted to continue around pattern in case gust factor was within limits during our approach. Over the landing lights, tower reported a 31 KT crosswind. Continued approach to a landing on runway 27L at atl. Subsequent landing and rollout were uneventful.
