Narrative:
Captain informed crew of problem with fuel gauges. We were told to prepare for landing in lubbock. We secured aircraft for landing as ordered. We landed and stayed with passenger until it was determined that aircraft was unusable. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that the aircraft was deemed unflyable and 2 other aircraft were sent to lubbock to take the passenger and crew to their destination airport, dfw, a few hours later. He was never informed of the actual aircraft problem.

Title: A FLT ATTENDANT RPT REGARDING A DIVERSION OF AN MD11 BECAUSE OF 'FUEL GAUGE PROBS.' IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ACFT WAS UNUSABLE.
Narrative: CAPT INFORMED CREW OF PROB WITH FUEL GAUGES. WE WERE TOLD TO PREPARE FOR LNDG IN LUBBOCK. WE SECURED ACFT FOR LNDG AS ORDERED. WE LANDED AND STAYED WITH PAX UNTIL IT WAS DETERMINED THAT ACFT WAS UNUSABLE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THAT THE ACFT WAS DEEMED UNFLYABLE AND 2 OTHER ACFT WERE SENT TO LUBBOCK TO TAKE THE PAX AND CREW TO THEIR DEST ARPT, DFW, A FEW HRS LATER. HE WAS NEVER INFORMED OF THE ACTUAL ACFT PROB.
