After takeoff gear would not come up. Followed checklist and 3 green gear down. Returned to ZZZ normal landing. At gate, maintenance found gear door/bypass handle ajar.

Title: AN MD SUPER 80 SHORTLY AFTER TKOF RETURNED TO THE FIELD DUE TO UNABLE TO RETRACT THE LNDG GEAR CAUSED BY THE LNDG GEAR GND MAINT BYPASS VALVE LEVER IN THE BYPASS POS.
Narrative: AFTER TKOF GEAR WOULD NOT COME UP. FOLLOWED CHKLIST AND 3 GREEN GEAR DOWN. RETURNED TO ZZZ NORMAL LNDG. AT GATE, MAINT FOUND GEAR DOOR/BYPASS HANDLE AJAR.
