Narrative:

Clearance was to descend to 13000 ft for a visual approach runway 35R (den). Nearing leveloff altitude, I was identing the localizer identify runway 35R as it was to be used for backup purposes. Radio call to expect visual approach to runway 35L. I immediately went to identify the localizer runway 35L since I was still listening to the NAVAID, then I reaccomplished the approach checklist. Captain realized he had descended through the leveloff altitude and immediately corrected the altitude deviation. (Lowest altitude I saw was 12300 ft.) supplemental information from acn 431973: at about 13800 ft MSL ATC changed runways to 35L.
