Narrative:
Autoplt was MEL'ed. Deferred listings said nothing about not using the automatic flight control system or flight director. En route, the automatic flight control system ifo failed. There is now a question if the autoplt is MEL'ed that this includes the flight director, even though it is not mentioned in the deferred listings.

Narrative: AUTOPLT WAS MEL'ED. DEFERRED LISTINGS SAID NOTHING ABOUT NOT USING THE AUTOMATIC FLT CTL SYS OR FLT DIRECTOR. ENRTE, THE AUTOMATIC FLT CTL SYS IFO FAILED. THERE IS NOW A QUESTION IF THE AUTOPLT IS MEL'ED THAT THIS INCLUDES THE FLT DIRECTOR, EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE DEFERRED LISTINGS.
