Narrative:

This was a training flight preparing student for type rating ride in the BE300. A thorough briefing was conducted preparing student VOR V1 cut and actions to take. After calling 'V' and during rotation, I retarded power on #2 engine, at which time student attempted to reduce power on #1 engine and reject takeoff after rotation had occurred. I took control of aircraft, pushed both throttles to maximum power, and continued takeoff. A heated discussion ensued. I advised departure control that we wanted to return to orf. Departure control instructed us to enter downwind (we were VFR). I missed his next several calls, therefore they concluded we had a problem and 'rolled' the emergency equipment. On mid field downwind, I asked controller if he wanted us to contact tower. He advised he had been attempting to call us. In my discussion with student about the botched V1 cut, I missed the calls. 'Fly the airplane first' is about all that needs to be said.

Title: A BE300 TRAINING FLT MISSED SEVERAL RADIO CALLS AT WHICH TIME THE TWR POSITIONED THE EMER EQUIP.

Narrative: THIS WAS A TRAINING FLT PREPARING STUDENT FOR TYPE RATING RIDE IN THE BE300. A THOROUGH BRIEFING WAS CONDUCTED PREPARING STUDENT VOR V1 CUT AND ACTIONS TO TAKE. AFTER CALLING 'V' AND DURING ROTATION, I RETARDED PWR ON #2 ENG, AT WHICH TIME STUDENT ATTEMPTED TO REDUCE PWR ON #1 ENG AND REJECT TKOF AFTER ROTATION HAD OCCURRED. I TOOK CTL OF ACFT, PUSHED BOTH THROTTLES TO MAX PWR, AND CONTINUED TKOF. A HEATED DISCUSSION ENSUED. I ADVISED DEP CTL THAT WE WANTED TO RETURN TO ORF. DEP CTL INSTRUCTED US TO ENTER DOWNWIND (WE WERE VFR). I MISSED HIS NEXT SEVERAL CALLS, THEREFORE THEY CONCLUDED WE HAD A PROB AND 'ROLLED' THE EMER EQUIP. ON MID FIELD DOWNWIND, I ASKED CTLR IF HE WANTED US TO CONTACT TWR. HE ADVISED HE HAD BEEN ATTEMPTING TO CALL US. IN MY DISCUSSION WITH STUDENT ABOUT THE BOTCHED V1 CUT, I MISSED THE CALLS.
