Narrative:
Climbing to FL280 on heading 270 degrees to three rivers. At FL270 we were given heading 315 degrees to llano VOR and climb to FL310. We read back heading and altitude change and controller said nothing. She gave another aircraft instructions following our response back to her. Radio frequency 135.47 at XA39Z. The controller caught our altitude at FL286 and we descended back down.

Narrative: CLBING TO FL280 ON HDG 270 DEGS TO THREE RIVERS. AT FL270 WE WERE GIVEN HDG 315 DEGS TO LLANO VOR AND CLB TO FL310. WE READ BACK HDG AND ALT CHANGE AND CTLR SAID NOTHING. SHE GAVE ANOTHER ACFT INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOWING OUR RESPONSE BACK TO HER. RADIO FREQ 135.47 AT XA39Z. THE CTLR CAUGHT OUR ALT AT FL286 AND WE DSNDED BACK DOWN.
