Narrative:
Instrument student left seat, on first ILS approach. We landed without landing clearance. Told to call tower on landline. Discovered we landed without clearance to land. Contributing factors: flight instructor with 52 yrs of flying, 22800 hours, just off medication for operation. Also 99% of our practice approachs are followed by a missed approach procedure.
