Narrative:

I flew a DC10, that had an MEL item that was not repaired in the required time. The MEL item was 'dual land inoperative' which is given 10 days to repair. My oversight was I accepted the aircraft and flew it from cdg to dtw on the 11TH day, 1 day beyond the required 10 days. In retrospect, the aircraft should have been repaired, and the MEL item cleared in paris before departure.
