Narrative:
Our call sign was air carrier X. 2 other aircraft had similar call signs, air carrier Y and an air carrier Z. We were level at 10000 ft and heard a clearance to 16000 ft. We answered and started the climb. At 10700 ft we heard the controller state 'stand by air carrier Y, an air carrier X flight just took your clearance.' we recognized the error and crested at 10900 ft before returning to 10000 ft. No TA/RA alert sounded and controller did not mention a conflict. The radios were extremely congested and with the similar call signs, we inadvertently got someone else's clearance.

Title: FLC OF A B737 CLBED IN RESPONSE TO ANOTHER SIMILAR SOUNDING CALL SIGN CLRNC. DEP CTLR OBSERVED THE MISTAKE AND ALERTED THE OTHER ACFT AND ISSUED A HDG CHANGE TO THE RPTRS.
Narrative: OUR CALL SIGN WAS ACR X. 2 OTHER ACFT HAD SIMILAR CALL SIGNS, ACR Y AND AN ACR Z. WE WERE LEVEL AT 10000 FT AND HEARD A CLRNC TO 16000 FT. WE ANSWERED AND STARTED THE CLB. AT 10700 FT WE HEARD THE CTLR STATE 'STAND BY ACR Y, AN ACR X FLT JUST TOOK YOUR CLRNC.' WE RECOGNIZED THE ERROR AND CRESTED AT 10900 FT BEFORE RETURNING TO 10000 FT. NO TA/RA ALERT SOUNDED AND CTLR DID NOT MENTION A CONFLICT. THE RADIOS WERE EXTREMELY CONGESTED AND WITH THE SIMILAR CALL SIGNS, WE INADVERTENTLY GOT SOMEONE ELSE'S CLRNC.
