Narrative:

Base to final turn on short field approach. Sun blinded both pilots at low level. Landed short of runway. Nose gear buckled and had 1 propeller blade strike. No FARS violated. Sunset/dusk definitely a factor as all visual contact with ground and runway was lost in the last several seconds of flight. Touchdown approximately 70 mph. Emergency shutdown procedures were followed after stop. No injuries, no substantial damage (per far 830). Aircraft was wheeled off the runway and left in tie-down area. Leading cause: loss of ground contact (vision) due to sun.
