Narrative:
Descending to 11000 ft on mgw.EMI3 STAR, handed off from ZDC to dulles approach. After we checked on, got a TA. Approach then advised a VFR lear 12:30 - 1 O'clock position. We then got an RA 'climb.' acquired the traffic visually, stopped descent, began climb. Lear appeared to continue its climb towards us and in a shallow left turn. Lear passed close by off our right, probably less than 1000 ft vertically.

Title: A B757 HAD A NEAR MISS WITH A LEARJET DURING DSCNT INTO BWI.
Narrative: DSNDING TO 11000 FT ON MGW.EMI3 STAR, HANDED OFF FROM ZDC TO DULLES APCH. AFTER WE CHKED ON, GOT A TA. APCH THEN ADVISED A VFR LEAR 12:30 - 1 O'CLOCK POS. WE THEN GOT AN RA 'CLB.' ACQUIRED THE TFC VISUALLY, STOPPED DSCNT, BEGAN CLB. LEAR APPEARED TO CONTINUE ITS CLB TOWARDS US AND IN A SHALLOW L TURN. LEAR PASSED CLOSE BY OFF OUR R, PROBABLY LESS THAN 1000 FT VERTLY.
