Narrative:
Immediately after takeoff in miami #2 engine egt started to rapidly climb. The power was pulled back to almost idle, 1.2 EPR to maintain engine in green band. Reentered the traffic pattern in miami for an uneventful landing.

Title: A BOEING 727 FLC HAD A RAPIDLY INCREASING EGT ON ENG #2 DURING TKOF FROM MIA. FLC RETARDED THE THROTTLE, TO MAINTAIN GREEN BAND TEMP, AND RETURNED TO MIA.
Narrative: IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF IN MIAMI #2 ENG EGT STARTED TO RAPIDLY CLB. THE PWR WAS PULLED BACK TO ALMOST IDLE, 1.2 EPR TO MAINTAIN ENG IN GREEN BAND. REENTERED THE TFC PATTERN IN MIAMI FOR AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG.
