Narrative:
While on a training flight in an AS350 helicopter, and departing watsons island, the reporter experienced a bending in the cyclic. Reporter advised instructor pilot and handed off aircraft to same. Instructor stated the cyclic was locked up, and requested hydraulics be isolated. System began to function after the hydraulic pressure bled down, and an immediate landing was made without further incident.

Title: AS350 HELI PLT EXECUTED EMER LNDG WHEN CYCLIC FAILED.
Narrative: WHILE ON A TRAINING FLT IN AN AS350 HELI, AND DEPARTING WATSONS ISLAND, THE RPTR EXPERIENCED A BENDING IN THE CYCLIC. RPTR ADVISED INSTRUCTOR PLT AND HANDED OFF ACFT TO SAME. INSTRUCTOR STATED THE CYCLIC WAS LOCKED UP, AND REQUESTED HYDS BE ISOLATED. SYS BEGAN TO FUNCTION AFTER THE HYD PRESSURE BLED DOWN, AND AN IMMEDIATE LNDG WAS MADE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
