Narrative:
Giving instrument flight instruction to instrument rated pilot. We were practicing a VOR runway 20 approach and were given missed approach instructions to turn left 090 degrees and not to overfly the runway. Due to distractions involved in training we failed to follow the missed approach instructions and overflew the runway. Tower notified me of the problem. Corrective action has been to improve listening and read back all instructions.
