Narrative:

I don't believe anyone did anything wrong here, but just another occurrence of pilot-controller miscom. Out of 3000 ft on departure, I switched to departure control frequency. Before I could check-in, the controller called my flight number and cleared us to continue our climb to 10000 ft and turn left to 310 degree heading. I read the clearance back correctly. But, as we climbed out of our original assigned altitude (5000 ft) the controller began to ask our altitude several times.

Narrative: I DON'T BELIEVE ANYONE DID ANYTHING WRONG HERE, BUT JUST ANOTHER OCCURRENCE OF PLT-CTLR MISCOM. OUT OF 3000 FT ON DEP, I SWITCHED TO DEP CTL FREQ. BEFORE I COULD CHK-IN, THE CTLR CALLED MY FLT NUMBER AND CLRED US TO CONTINUE OUR CLB TO 10000 FT AND TURN L TO 310 DEG HDG. I READ THE CLRNC BACK CORRECTLY. BUT, AS WE CLBED OUT OF OUR ORIGINAL ASSIGNED ALT (5000 FT) THE CTLR BEGAN TO ASK OUR ALT SEVERAL TIMES.
