Narrative:
Upon call to ground control for taxi clearance for VFR departure from the west t-hangars, I received a low volume (immediately increased) response granting taxi clearance to runway 26L. I acknowledged the clearance with a readback, and commenced to taxi to runway 26L. Once on taxiway a, I received a call from spirit ground inquiring of my intentions. I responded that I was taxiing to runway 26L as cleared. Spirit ground then advised that he had not communicated with me today. I stopped the aircraft immediately. Spirit ground then cleared me to taxi to runway 26L, and advised that he had been communicating with and clearing for a taxi, a bonanza. There was no bonanza visible on the taxiway. I continued with normal taxi and takeoff clearance, and departure. My instructor was in the aircraft with me.
