Narrative:
While receiving vectors, we were told to descend from 13000 ft to 11000 ft, 190 KIAS, and switch controllers. We were following traffic, and I was very concerned with our separation. The next frequency was very busy, and I was unable to check in until we had descended to 10700 ft. I believe because of the traffic ahead, I mistakenly dialed in 9000 ft instead of 11000 ft. I believe 9000 ft was a result of '190' on the speed. When our TCASII sounded, I checked in and told the controller our position and descending to 9000 ft. He told us to maintain 11000 ft. We complied and landed safely in denver. We had descended to 10300 ft before instructed to maintain 11000 ft. This was my mistake. I dialed in the wrong number in our altitude preselector.

Title: BE1900 FLC DSNDS THROUGH CLRED ALT APCHING DEN.
Narrative: WHILE RECEIVING VECTORS, WE WERE TOLD TO DSND FROM 13000 FT TO 11000 FT, 190 KIAS, AND SWITCH CTLRS. WE WERE FOLLOWING TFC, AND I WAS VERY CONCERNED WITH OUR SEPARATION. THE NEXT FREQ WAS VERY BUSY, AND I WAS UNABLE TO CHK IN UNTIL WE HAD DSNDED TO 10700 FT. I BELIEVE BECAUSE OF THE TFC AHEAD, I MISTAKENLY DIALED IN 9000 FT INSTEAD OF 11000 FT. I BELIEVE 9000 FT WAS A RESULT OF '190' ON THE SPD. WHEN OUR TCASII SOUNDED, I CHKED IN AND TOLD THE CTLR OUR POS AND DSNDING TO 9000 FT. HE TOLD US TO MAINTAIN 11000 FT. WE COMPLIED AND LANDED SAFELY IN DENVER. WE HAD DSNDED TO 10300 FT BEFORE INSTRUCTED TO MAINTAIN 11000 FT. THIS WAS MY MISTAKE. I DIALED IN THE WRONG NUMBER IN OUR ALT PRESELECTOR.
