Narrative:

Navigation receivers were set for an east landing in accordance with current ATIS at iah. While being vectored by approach control, we were told it would be an ILS runway 27 arrival. Flight crew failed to properly retune all navigation radios and was unable to intercept the ILS course initially. We shortly discovered the problem, fixed it, and completed the approach and landing. Proper use of 'approach checklist' would have precluded this mishap.
