Captain was flying -- both crew members distraction from making a timely turn over bty VOR. Center assigned heading to return to course and stay out of R2508. Excursion from course reached 12 mi from VOR. No mention of incursion of R2508 was made by ATC. Returned to J92 to lidat and on course.
