Narrative:
We had a delay due to a mechanical in sfo. The problem was fixed. We pushed back. We took off. About 15 mins or so into flight, after just beginning main cabin beverage service, we received a call from the #1 flight attendant that we were turning around and landing back at sfo. I asked if we were to prepare for an emergency landing. She said captain had not informed her of that being necessary. Captain then made announcement that we had some engine lights on. He was concerned that the temperature readings were high, and we were to land in about 15-20 mins in sfo. He later came on the PA to let the passenger know that emergency vehicles would meet the flight and follow us, and for them to be aware, and we should have a normal landing. We did, and there were no injuries and the plane went OTS.
