Narrative:

On jun/xa/99 I was involved on a business class seat change aboard aircraft xyz due to seat not having power ports installed. Engineer was calling to install a blue seat on an all beige seat aircraft. I didn't like the idea, so I obtained the part number on seat forward of bad seat and entered number in computer. The reworked seat number given was seat xzxx, which I installed. All seat power, color were fine. Come to find out the next morning that the seat installed was for domestic flts only.
