Narrative:
Location: canoa. After takeoff, smelled odor in cabin, unknown source. Climbed to FL390, mach .80, 20 mi from canoa. Aft cabin flight attendant called, said smoke detector in aft lavatory was going off. The captain left cockpit to investigate, could see some smoke in first class, went to main cabin and could see more smoke in aft cabin. On return to cockpit mid-cabin lavatory smoke detector went off. Returned to cockpit, requested direct to eyw and started a descent. Completed smoke in the cabin checklist, descent and landing checklist. Not an overweight landing 185000 pounds. Requested fire and crash to standby. After normal landing stopped on runway and had aircraft checked by fire crew. After landing flight attendant informed us the smoke was gone. Taxied clear and parked aircraft. WX was clear, landing at nqx on runway 7.

Narrative: LOCATION: CANOA. AFTER TKOF, SMELLED ODOR IN CABIN, UNKNOWN SOURCE. CLBED TO FL390, MACH .80, 20 MI FROM CANOA. AFT CABIN FLT ATTENDANT CALLED, SAID SMOKE DETECTOR IN AFT LAVATORY WAS GOING OFF. THE CAPT LEFT COCKPIT TO INVESTIGATE, COULD SEE SOME SMOKE IN FIRST CLASS, WENT TO MAIN CABIN AND COULD SEE MORE SMOKE IN AFT CABIN. ON RETURN TO COCKPIT MID-CABIN LAVATORY SMOKE DETECTOR WENT OFF. RETURNED TO COCKPIT, REQUESTED DIRECT TO EYW AND STARTED A DSCNT. COMPLETED SMOKE IN THE CABIN CHKLIST, DSCNT AND LNDG CHKLIST. NOT AN OVERWT LNDG 185000 LBS. REQUESTED FIRE AND CRASH TO STANDBY.
