Narrative:
Flight msp-iah. Upon calling ground for pushback clearance, ground said push approved expect runway 22 at intersection C7. Called ground after staring engines and clearance was received to exit ramp at clo hold short of runway 22. Then ground cleared us onto runway 22 to back taxi. At this time the captain taxiing, went to the end of runway 22, as we entered the runway from clo ground control switched us to tower frequency. We called ready for takeoff and received takeoff clearance. After departure tower asked the captain to call them when we got to iah. I had not talked with captain to see if this was the problem, I can only assume. I think that in the future the ground controller should be more specific, and say don't cross runways 12L/30R, taxi to M7 cleared to back taxi.

Narrative: FLT MSP-IAH. UPON CALLING GND FOR PUSHBACK CLRNC, GND SAID PUSH APPROVED EXPECT RWY 22 AT INTXN C7. CALLED GND AFTER STARING ENGS AND CLRNC WAS RECEIVED TO EXIT RAMP AT CLO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22. THEN GND CLRED US ONTO RWY 22 TO BACK TAXI. AT THIS TIME THE CAPT TAXIING, WENT TO THE END OF RWY 22, AS WE ENTERED THE RWY FROM CLO GND CTL SWITCHED US TO TWR FREQ. WE CALLED READY FOR TKOF AND RECEIVED TKOF CLRNC. AFTER DEP TWR ASKED THE CAPT TO CALL THEM WHEN WE GOT TO IAH. I HAD NOT TALKED WITH CAPT TO SEE IF THIS WAS THE PROB, I CAN ONLY ASSUME. I THINK THAT IN THE FUTURE THE GND CTLR SHOULD BE MORE SPECIFIC, AND SAY DON'T CROSS RWYS 12L/30R, TAXI TO M7 CLRED TO BACK TAXI.
