Narrative:
On landing at atl lca captain sitting in right seat and PF: DC9 landed ahead and missed both high-speed txwys, continued to end of runway. Clearance to land was already received, but we asked tower 'do you want aircraft X to go around.' the response was 'negative, continue to land.' knowing that we could land and stop safely, and due to the fact that we were at 50 ft above touchdown with the DC9 almost off runway, we continued to land. We had an FAA inspector onboard who agreed with our judgement.
