Narrative:
Requested a climb for turbulence from FL220 to FL260. Traded off airspeed for altitude to get to smooth air and ended up with a high rate of climb. Autoplt did a VNAV capture, but was unable to level at FL260. We took over manually, topped out at FL263, and flew it back to FL260. In retrospect, we should have been more vigilant of the altitude capture with such a high rate of climb.
