Narrative:
A leakage of a liquid was noticed by a passenger sitting in the window seat over the r-hand wing. I reported this to flight attendant #1 in main cabin who reported incident to cockpit. First officer and captain both viewed situation and decided emergency landing was necessary. We landed in bna approximately 15 mins after reporting leakage. The landing was routine, as entire incident was handled with professionalism of the cockpit and cabin crew. No emergency evacuate/evacuation was required. Passenger were able to board a plane at bna and were on their way to lga within 1 hour. The mechanical problem was repaired and plane was flown as a ferry flight back to dfw within 4 hours. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the problem was a fuel leak. The captain gave them 15 mins to prepare for an emergency landing. Several passenger had been about to be handed their meal tray when the incident happened, and they complained about not getting served their meal. The plane was taken OTS, and the crew ferried out with the plane. The passenger were lucky, because there was a plane at the next gate going to the same place, so the passenger got on that flight, and the crew stayed with the airplane.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT, S80, DFW-LGA, WING LEAK, EMER LNDG DECLARED, DIVERT TO NASHVILLE. MAINT PROC.
Narrative: A LEAKAGE OF A LIQUID WAS NOTICED BY A PAX SITTING IN THE WINDOW SEAT OVER THE R-HAND WING. I RPTED THIS TO FLT ATTENDANT #1 IN MAIN CABIN WHO RPTED INCIDENT TO COCKPIT. FO AND CAPT BOTH VIEWED SIT AND DECIDED EMER LNDG WAS NECESSARY. WE LANDED IN BNA APPROX 15 MINS AFTER RPTING LEAKAGE. THE LNDG WAS ROUTINE, AS ENTIRE INCIDENT WAS HANDLED WITH PROFESSIONALISM OF THE COCKPIT AND CABIN CREW. NO EMER EVAC WAS REQUIRED. PAX WERE ABLE TO BOARD A PLANE AT BNA AND WERE ON THEIR WAY TO LGA WITHIN 1 HR. THE MECHANICAL PROB WAS REPAIRED AND PLANE WAS FLOWN AS A FERRY FLT BACK TO DFW WITHIN 4 HRS.
